Coronary bifurcations are involved in 15-20% of all percutaneous coronary interventions and they still remain some of the most challenging lesions in interventional cardiology, in terms of procedural success rate as well as long-term cardiac events such as restenosis and ST.

It is very important to understand that the optimal management of bifurcation lesions, however, despite a fast-growing body of scientific literature, it is still the subject of continued considerable debate.
