Xavier Bertrand

President and Senior Vice President, EMEA

Xavier Bertrand is our president and senior vice president, Europe, Middle East and Africa, appointed 01 December 2024. Prior to his current role, he served as vice president, Peripheral Interventions, Europe, Middle East and Africa, and previously led the Healthcare Solutions and Partnerships business for the region, driving Boston Scientific’s business model transformation.

Bertrand joined Boston Scientific in 2001 as a financial analyst for the Interventional Cardiology business and held roles of increasing responsibility, including leading the Interventional Cardiology business for EMEA. After gaining additional leadership experience at Medtronic, ATS Medical and Biosensors, he became global general manager of Symetis, a structural heart company, which was acquired by Boston Scientific in 2017.

Over his career, Bertrand has led commercial efforts and P&L for the EMEA region, overseen the EMEA Senior Leadership team across business units, functions, and countries, and driven cultural and talent development initiatives. He has experience in business development, acquisitions, integrations, and leading operations, research, and development functions.

Bertrand earned his Master's degree in Finance from KEDGE Business School, France.
