Endo-SPONGE™
The Endo-SPONGE is a minimally invasive method for the treatment of an anastomotic leakage in the low pelvic area, allowing a continuous drainage of the secretion of the leakage cavity and reducing its size. It consists of an open-pored sponge connected to a drainage tube, enabling the suction to be transferred over all tissue in contact with the sponge surface.

How Endo-SPONGE Endoluminal Vacuum Therapy Works
A. Endoscopic insertion of the sponge into the leakage cavity
B. The drainage tube is routed out through the anus and connected to a vacuum system.
C. The application of the vacuum leads to a continuous drainage of the fluid and the sponge in the cavity promotes the cleaning of the surface.
D. With the subsequent use of .Endo-SPONGE the cavity is reduced until form a small scar.
