Infection prevention in endoscopy is gaining more attention. Improper cleaning of endoscopes may lead to failure of high-level disinfection and sterilization procedures and may increase the potential risk for infection transmission to patients.
In this 45-minute webinar, Ulrike Beilenhoff, ESGENA Scientific Secretary, will give an update in the framework of ESGE-ESGENA guidelines on hygiene. She will share her views about challenges in the design of endoscopes, the importance of staff qualifications and competencies, organisation and important steps in endoscope reprocessing.
