In the Navy, there is a saying ‘five by five’ which means you have fully understood a message loud and clear. The Fondation Francine Leca project wants doctors in underdeveloped countries to be able to say ‘five by five’ to the message on pediatric cardiology.
With our support, the
5/5 campaign implemented a full e-learning programme to train doctors practicing in African countries on how to diagnose cardiac diseases in children. Within two months of its launch, the training had 16 ambassadors from 10 countries; another 95 doctors trained, and 15 countries represented.
Fondation Leca - as with
Mécénat Chirurgie Cardiaque organisation - was founded by MD Francine Leca, and is dedicated to giving children all over the world with heart malfunctions a future. Since 1996, over 3,200 children with heart defects have been brought to France and operated on for free.
The 5/5 campaign was awarded "Most Engaging Mobile-Learning Course of the Year" at the 2021 Mobile Learning Awards organised by Teach on Mars.
