Swiss LithoClast® Trilogy
Lithotripter
Evidence Matters.
Safely fragment and remove stones faster than other leading dual-energy lithotripters.1-3
Key Resources
Efficiency
IN VITRO COMPARISON OF A NOVEL SINGLE-PROBE DUAL-ENERGY LITHOTRIPTER TO CURRENT GENERATION DEVICES
*Results for the device were statistically significant versus all other devices tested.
Study Methodology
- Three lithotripsy systems were used to conduct this study*
- 10 trials were performed per device using 1cm3 cube-shaped BegoStones*
- A single BegoStone was placed in a hemispherical silicone support in a water bath
- Each lithotripter was utilized under direct vision to fragment and suction the BegoStones utilizing a 300cc/min constant suction rate and comparable fragmentation settings
- The time to stone clearance for each trial was recorded and statistical analysis was performed
*For Swiss LithoClast Select, trials were performed with and without pneumatic
ENDOSCOPIC CLEARANCE LITHOTRIPSY DEVICES: BENCH COMPARISON OF STONE ELIMINATION CAPACITY AND DRILLING SPEED
Study Methodology
- Three lithotripsy systems were used to conduct this study*
- 10 trials were performed by 5 different operators (50 test runs per device) using 1cm3 cube-shaped BegoStones*
*For Swiss LithoClast Master, trials were performed with and without pneumatic
Safety
COMPARATIVE EVALUATION OF TISSUE DAMAGE INDUCED BY ULTRASOUND AND IMPACT DUAL MODE ENDOSCOPIC LITHOTRIPSY VERSUS CONVENTIONAL SINGLE MODE ULTRASOUND LITHOTRIPSY
Study Methodology
- Two lithotripsy systems were used to conduct this study
- Testing was performed on six female pigs. Their bladder tissue was exposed to direct lithotripter probe contact at maximum power for 10 seconds. Small and large diameter probes were tested.
- Acute tissue trauma was evaluated using a scoring model. After 7 days, all animals were sacrificed, necropsied and examined post mortem. Histological examinations of the urinary bladder were performed with each animal.
