Restoring blood flow to a vessel previously blocked with a CTO may significantly improve the patient’s quality of life by providing symptom relief and improved left ventricular function. Successful recanalization of chronic total occlusions may allow patients to avoid coronary artery bypass graft surgery (CABG).
We are working to bring an understanding of the importance of treating chronic total occlusions to physicians. Our robust training program has three objectives.

Fully understand the concepts and techniques used in conjunction with Boston Scientific coronary CTO products.
Be able to discuss indications for treating coronary CTOs.
Understand how to better manage patients and optimize radiation during coronary CTO intervention.
