Modern PCI

Prep the vessel for PCI success

Optimize procedural success in complex PCI

As complex PCI procedures become more common1, proper lesion preparation becomes even more critical for achieving optimal outcomes and preventing restenosis. To ensure success, your toolkit should be tailored to handle the diverse characteristics of each lesion. The goals are simple:

WOLVERINE™ Coronary Cutting Balloon™

Provides clear-cut control in a wide range of complex lesions

  • Creates controlled fractures in thin concentric and eccentric calcium

  • Cuts fibrotic plaque to limit recoil

  • Anchors to reduce plaque shift in ostial and bifurcation lesions

WOLVERINE™ Cutting Balloon

ROTAPRO™ Rotational Atherectomy System

  • Increase procedural success in calcified lesions and coronary occlusions
  • Treat calcium effectively with proven technology and streamlined design
  • Access harder to reach anatomy in uncrossable lesions
ROTAPRO™ Atherectomy System

Match method to morphology

Studies show that moderate to severe calcium creates a significantly higher chance of complications like MI, TLR, MACE and death.2 Use this calcium strategy to improve your PCI outcomes in Calcific Coronary Artery Disease (CAD).

SCAI guidance on surgical backup

New published guidelines outline that the WOLVERINE Cutting Balloon can be used in all cath labs across the U.S., regardless of on-site surgical backup. Additionally, the ROTAPRO Rotational Atherectomy System can be used in Level 2 Centers.

Clinical data: Optimal vessel preparation makes an impact on long-term outcomes

The COPS Trial, presented at TCT 2022 showed that WOLVERINE use in calcified lesions is safe with no significant differences in procedural complications and 1-year MACE. WOLVERINE demonstrated excellent procedural success (compared to POBA) with limited need for atherectomy despite a high rate of severe calcium in the study.²
