Xavier Bertrand is our senior vice president and president, Europe, Middle East and Africa, appointed 1st of December 2024. Prior to his current role, he served as vice president, Peripheral Interventions, Europe, Middle East and Africa, and previously led the Healthcare Solutions and Partnerships division for the region, driving Boston Scientific’s business model transformation. Xavier joined Boston Scientific in 2001 as a financial analyst for the Interventional Cardiology business and held roles of increasing responsibility, including leading the Interventional Cardiology division for EMEA. After gaining additional leadership experience at Medtronic, ATS Medical and Biosensors , he became global general manager of Symetis, a structural heart company, which was acquired by Boston Scientific in 2017. Over his career, Xavier has led commercial efforts and P&L for the EMEA region, overseen the EMEA Senior Leadership Team across business units, functions, and countries, and driven cultural and talent development initiatives. He has experience in business development, acquisitions, integrations, and leading operations, research, and development functions. Xavier earned his Master’s degree in Finance from KEDGE Business School.
