Site Selective Pacing Catheters (SSPC)

The Site Selective Pacing Catheter portfolio (SSPC and SSPC NXT) are single-use percutaneous catheters intended for the venous introduction of pacing or defibrillation leads.

The SSPC NXT catheters expand the SSPC portfolio, providing additional design features to target right ventricular locations, inclusive of the left bundle branch area (LBBA).

Navigate. Reach. Support.

Delivery catheters designed to reach right ventricular locations, inclusive of the left bundle branch area (LBBA).

Why choose our Site Selective Pacing Catheter

The SSPC portfolio of catheters is designed to target different locations on the septum. As part of the Conduction System Pacing (CSP) portfolio, the SSPC family includes a variety of shapes and features, including a hemostatic valve and radiopaque distal tip, which facilitate accurate lead placement and navigation to the septal plane. Additionally, the slittable sheath allows for straightforward catheter removal, contributing to smoother procedures.

The SSPC NXT are next generation lead delivery catheters built to complement the SSPC portfolio. SSPC NXT are designed to feature increased catheter stability, a larger inner diameter of 7 Fr, a longer 42cm length, and additional shapes to target right ventricular locations, inclusive of the left bundle branch area (LBBA).

Navigate

Navigate within diverse heart anatomies targeting right ventricular locations, inclusive of the LBBA.

Reach

Reach the septal plane with a variety of catheter shapes and lengths.

Support

Support lead delivery with a robust braided catheter.

SSPC NXT Catheters feature the following enhancements:

  1. Enhanced support with a reinforced braided stainless steel incorporating a stiffer polymer to provide greater catheter stability.
  2. Extended length available in a 42 cm length provides 2 additional centimeters of reach.
  3. New shapes specifically designed for a variety of heart sizes to enable septal placement inclusive of areas optimal for LBBAP.
  4. More prominent septal curve at the distal tip allows for consistent perpendicular placement.
  5. Increased sizing of outer and inner diameter facilitates ease of lead passage through the catheter and offers more stability.

Conduction system pacing therapy

Anchored by the INGEVITY+ pacing lead, Boston Scientific’s Conduction System Pacing portfolio works together to precisely navigate to the septum and efficiently fixate with the stylet design allowing continuous monitoring of electrical measurements to confidently capture the left bundle branch area.
