Post-recovery guidelines

You can gradually return to normal activities, pacing yourself and checking in with your doctor along the way. Be sure to let your doctor know about lifestyle changes before resuming any kind of strenuous physical activity related to work or exercise.

Returning to work

Most people can return to work within a few days following their WATCHMAN Implant procedure, but be sure to talk to your doctor so they can help guide your recovery process.

On the move with your implant

Your WATCHMAN Implant will not alert metal detectors, so you can go through security screenings at airports, sporting events, and other public places safely without setting off an alarm.

Following up with your doctor

During recovery, it’s important to keep all follow-up appointments so your doctor can check your progress. Contact your doctor immediately about complications or medication side effects including bleeding, headaches, nausea, vomiting or rash.
