HOLA Leadership Conference
In 2018, HOLA hosted its first annual HOLA Leadership Conference, bringing together global chapter members for a day of networking, development and professional growth. Occuring during Hispanic Heritage Month, participants also celebrated their heritage, educated others and promoted advantages of diversity in the workplace.
HOLA Dorado: Hispanic Heritage Week
In Dorado, Puerto Rico, the HOLA chapter organizes a week-long celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month. Throughout that week, a variety of events and initiatives are launched to celebrate and gain experience to the hispanic culture, including education on traditional music, games and food.
HOLA Twin Cities: Being an Ally for Inclusion
The Minnesota chapters of HOLA and PACE collaborated to bring Dr. Anne Phibbs onsite to lead a discussion on Making a Difference: Being an Ally for Inclusion. Dr. Phibbs is the founder and President of Strategic Diversity Initiatives and led interactive sessions on unconscious biases, micro-aggressions and micro-inequities; how to identify them and act as a responsible ally.
