Explore our policies and approach
The expectations and processes we establish throughout our company and supply chain ensure we are held to the highest standards of integrity and accountability.
Governance and compliance
Our work to make products that change and save lives is guided by strong governance, ethics, accountability, core values and respect for human life. Our responsible business practices include standards for promoting products honestly and accurately, and we are committed to protecting human rights everywhere we do business. And as the foundation for all of our business practices and relationships, every employee is required to read and understand the Boston Scientific Code of Conduct.
Risk management
Across our operations and supply chain, we analyze strategic, operational, financial, legal and compliance risks so we can safely adapt to challenges, minimize threat exposure and pursue opportunities. We use a combination of technology, protocols and third-party security partnerships to protect our people, operations and assets globally.
Cybersecurity
The approach we take with digital security makes product security and patient information safety top priorities, and we have protocols that anticipate and address possible threats. Our Global Cybersecurity team takes a centralized data security approach to protecting all systems, notification applications, connected medical devices and clinician interfaces. Protecting our digital infrastructure and all personal data is essential to our mission and for building trust inside and outside the company.
Responsible supply chain
Our focus on quality extends across our global value chain. We hold our direct and indirect supply chain partners accountable for taking the highest degree of care and use a risk-based approach to assess and verify our suppliers’ compliance and operations. And we prioritize working with certified companies that share our commitment to customer and patient care, including businesses that are minority-owned, women-owned, small or disadvantaged, service-disabled, veteran-owned, LGBTQ+-owned and disability-owned.1
