Welcome to CaseLink App. CaseLink is an online community designed by Boston Scientific to facilitate peer-to-peer interaction and information exchange between physicians through the sharing of clinical cases, articles and data in the field of Medicine (the App).

In order to allow for meaningful exchange between the Users, it is imperative to establish and maintain a high level of expertise and professionalism. Therefore, this App is specifically targeted to Healthcare Professionals (“HCPs”) and not to patients. Any HCP or trained medical doctor with a view to improve his/her knowledge on Electrophysiology or to interact with peers on the latest technological developments is welcome on the App.

When registering to CaseLink app you consent to the processing of your personal information by Boston Scientific International SAS, the data controller of this community. You will also refrain from publishing any personal data of third parties and in particular of patients that can be identifiable. On the contrary, this would constitute a violation of the terms of use and could trigger the cancellation of your account. This community relies on a moderator that carefully reviews each post and removes the posts that may contain personal information.

The moderator's role will also be to monitor the overall interaction on the App to identify trends and interests in order for us to improve our offer and gain further intelligence on the development of the activity in the Medicine field.

We process your information in good faith, lawfully, and in compliance with all applicable data protection laws. Any information related to you will be treated as strictly confidential. Boston Scientific also ensures that appropriate technical and organizational security measures are taken to protect your information.

Information collected and retention period

By registering to the App, you agree to provide the following personal information: full name, e-mail and your professional role and medical specialty, the name of your organization/hospital and city/country, as well as your health care practitioner identifier number, when applicable. You can also upload your picture on your account if you like. Finally, all the comments and material that you publish on CaseLink are also attached to you onto the community.

We use common Internet technologies to keep track of your online activity on the App to track your visits, remember your preferences and offer you a more personalized online user experience. This information might be about you, your preferences or your device and is typically used to make the App work as you expect it.

We will send you periodic emails, containing platform notifications and RSS feeds of the latest or trending posts, to keep you informed on the platform activities. You can at any time decide to unsubscribe from this update in your account settings. When using the app, you may receive push notifications to keep you informed on the platform activities. You can change these settings at any time.

Please note that the App allows for the sharing of Content that may be related to your personal information through or on social media platforms or applications that are not owned or operated by us (like Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn or others). This privacy notice does not apply to Content or information shared in this manner or to the use of any third-party platform. In these cases, the terms of use and the privacy terms of the relevant platform will apply.

We retain your information while your account is active. But if you remove your account on the App and you are a customer of Boston Scientific please note that this will not impact the information we may have on you as a customer.

Who has access to your personal information?

Your registration information will be stored on Servers based in USA. These Servers may be operated by data processors on behalf of Boston Scientific.

Your Data will be accessible to the other companies of the Boston Scientific Group.

Your privacy rights

At any time, you are entitled under the circumstances set forth under - Applicable Data Protection Law to:

Be informed about and access the information we hold;

Request that inaccuracies be corrected;

Object to the processing of your information for profiling you;

Request that some or all of your information be erased when no longer necessary; and,

In some circumstances, you can ask for a restriction of access to your information.
